My visitors this morning at my house

We had a lot of birds this morning at our feeders because of the frost.  These are our favourites and they arrived all at the same time just as I was leaving for school this morning.  The first two are Northern Flickers (a kind of woodpecker) and this one on the post is a pileated woodpecker (I like to call them Woody Woodpeckers).

Halloween

We had a lot of fun on Halloween!  This last picture is of my daughter Lauren who dressed up as a cat.

Centres in October

These pictures were taken during students free choice centre time.  We have two free choice times during the day.  Centre time allows students to use their imaginations while learning to get along with others.  It is probably the best time of the day to develop their oral language skills.
